Kiefies Biltong was established during the hype of the 2010 Fifa world cup. The company provided snacks for all occasions that could be enjoyed by everyone, something durable not seasonal and easily attainable. Biltong, dried fruits and mixed nuts was the choice of product. Beginning as a weekend hobby the owner found joy in the sale of these delicious products and believed that it could bring financial freedom to him and jobs to the youth.

Refuoe Mawela is a young, passionate individual who loves to sell goods he believes in. He started Kiefies in 2010 in order to make extra money but it soon became a serious business venture once he realised the potential.
